37. Hyperbolic Sets
In this lecture we introduce the notion of a hyperbolic set, which is a generalisation of the notion of a hyperbolic fixed point. These were first introduced by Smale in his seminal paper Differentiable Dynamical Systems. Much of the rest of the course is devoted to explaining elements of this paper.
